Mrs. Mamie J. Summar's Obituary
Miss Mamie Jamie Summar, 86, passed away into the hands of the Lord on Monday, February 3, 2014 at her residence in Hendersonville. The Davidson County native was the daughter of the late James Marshall and Mamie Warren Summar. She was a retired flight attendant for Eastern Airlines and member of the Tulip Grove Baptist Church in Hermitage. She enjoyed fishing and watching all sports. For many years she unselfishly was the caregiver to her parents. Miss Summar is survived by two brothers, David (Anneal) Summar of Thompson Station, TN and Joe (Betty) Summar of Ridgetop, TN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Marshall, Jr. and Herbert Alfred Summar. Memorials may be made to the Tulip Grove Baptist Church in Hermitage. The family would like to extend their special thanks to all her caregivers during her illness. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 12:30 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Dearth officiating. Burial will be in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 11:30 AM until service time at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery.
