Margaret "Margie" Abbott's Obituary
Margaret “Margie” Abbott, 69, of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away peacefully at Alive Hospice on December 2, 2024. She was born October 24, 1955, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Robert and Barbara Ann Knickerbocker.
Those who have passed on before her are parents Robert Knickerbocker and Barbara Ann Stone.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are loving husband of 32 years, Mike Abbott, two sons, Robbie (Megan) Wilson and Ryan Abbott, and grandchildren, Liam, Olivia, and Nolan, a multitude of loving friends.
Margie was a caring, nurturing spirit that loved all creatures. She had a special fondness for both dogs and cats. She loved spending time and making special memories with family and friends during her many vacations to the beach.
She attended the First Baptist Church in Hendersonville. Margie was a woman of quiet, but enduring faith.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was generous with her smiles and her affection. Margie had a warrior’s heart and fiercely battled cancer for 5 years until her last breath. Special thanks to Dr. Hamilton’s team: Emma, Mallory, Morgan, and Kelsey for their exceptional care during her time spent at Sarah Cannon.
