Margaret Anderson Travis' Obituary
TRAVIS, Margaret Anderson of Nashville, TN; age 80, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009. She was born in Holland, Missouri on October 23, 1928, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson, Sr. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Hugh M. Travis, Jr., and their three children Hugh M. Travis III, (Diana), Philip T. Travis (Karen) and Terri Sturdivant (Wayne). She is also survived by six grandchildren, Brittany Webb (Jeff), Philip, Wesley, and Ryan Travis, Justin and Eric Sturdivant. She is also survived by her brother George and sister in law Beatrice Anderson of Foley, Alabama, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. For twelve years Margaret was Secretary/Treasurer of BG Chemicals, Inc. She was an active member of Inglewood United Methodist Church serving in various capacities through the years. She was a member of the Inglewood Booster Club, active in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, member of the Eastern Star, and an avid supporter of Goodpasture Christian School athletics. Margaret's life centered around family, friends and knitting. Her favorite time was having family gathered around the kitchen table. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 14 from 4-8PM and on Monday, June 15 from 2-3PM with funeral service commencing at 3PM with Rev. Gordon Meadors officiating.
