Margaret Therese Brew Backman's Obituary
Margaret Therese Brew Backman, 85, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022. Born May 26, 1937, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Thaddeus and Woodford Brew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Garold Backman, Sr.; son-in-law David Charles Morgan; daughter-in-law LuAnn Backman.
Therese was a loving mother who was devoted to her family. She attended Holy Name and Cathedral Schools. She was a retired nursing tech who worked at Nashville Memorial Hospital and Tennessee Oncology.
She is survived by her sons Garold Duane (Kathy) Backman, Jr., Richard David Backman, and Michael Dennis Backman; daughter Cynthia Lynne Morgan; brothers Thaddeus Brew, Thomas (Glenda) Brew, Charles Brew, and John (Kim) Brew; sisters Miriam (Larry) Cook, Madeline Demoss and Dorothy Burns; grandchildren Sonja and Michael Backman, Josh (Chelsea) Backman, Christy (Chris) Martin, Sean (Ashley) Backman, Jessica Backman, and Tammy (Erik) Morgan-Ferguson; great grandchildren Karen Backman, Caleigh Martin, Raelin Ferguson, Caiden Martin, Brody Townsend, Cailer Martin, Abigail & Ethan Backman, Melanie, Conner & Collin Backman; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Nashville in the Brew family plot on Monday, November 14th, 2022 at 12:00 PM.
