Mrs. Margaret Chance's Obituary
Margaret Irwin Chance, age 95, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 27, 2021 in Hendersonville. Margaret was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 7, 1925 to the late Austin Everett and Maggie (Dyer) Irwin.
She is survived by son, Randy Chance (Ava) and children, Bryan Chance (Cayce), Brent Chance (Jennifer), and Holly Hurley (Mac); daughters, Pam Howard (Carter) and children, Mitsi Lindsay (Keith), and Anita Simpson (Travis); Deb Mix (LJ) and children, Daren Phillips (Rachel), and Dennis Phillips (Anna); fifteen great-grandchildren, Bo, Hudson, Mary Harbin, Steele, Crew, West, Easton, Gracen, Cole, Alli, Charlie, McHaney, Alba, Sadie, and Sawyer. She is also survived by relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-nine years, Homer Chance.
Mrs. Chance was Citizen of the Year for the Madison Chamber of Commerce, an active member of the King’s Daughters Day Care, served as the executive director of the Christian Cooperative Ministry, and a pink lady for the Nashville Memorial Hospital, to name a few. She always enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends. She had a love for the Lord and was an active member for over seventy-five years of the City Road Chapel United Methodist Church.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 1 pm at the City Road Chapel United Methodist Church in Madison. Visitation will be held from 11 am until 1 pm at the church. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
