Ms. Margaret Callis Edging's Obituary
Margaret Callis Edging of Rutherford County passed away on May 6, 2020 at the age of 98. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Bessie Callis; loving husband, Turney Odell Edging; son, Steven Edging; sisters, Francis Davis, Lorene Luster, Billy sue Abcock; and brothers, Nolan Callis, Verner Callis, Dennis Callis, Olie Callis, Forde Callis.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Edging (Lloyde) Creekmore; sisters, Peggy Swatman, Joyce Ellis, Lillian Lambert; brother, Glen Callis; grandchildren, Jason (Angie) Smiley, Brandi Smiley, Shiloh (April) Edging, Stephanie (James) Sullivan; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret came from a large family with 12 siblings. She was hardworking and dedicated. Margaret was a member of the Eastern Starr for many years, as well as head of the PTA. She touched the lives of all those that knew her and will truly be missed.
In lieu of flowers please make memorials to the American Cancer or Heart Society.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 10 to 12:30 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216. 615-865-1101. A private burial will take place at a later date at Nashville National Cemetery.
