She found solace and peace outdoors, particularly on the water. The sun rose and set in her eyes, and its colors reflected the inner beauty of her spirit.

Margarete is preceded in death by her mother Peggy (Margarete). She is survived by her loving father Mark, sister Aubrey Barnes (Brian), nieces Keira and Alyssa, grandmother Alma Bandy Spero, and several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
