Marguerite M. Melvin's Obituary
Mrs. Marguerite Melvin, aged 89, died Saturday, September 12, 2009 in Franklin, TN. She was a resident of the Manor at Steeplechase, Franklin. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 18 at 2:00 pm at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Jackson, MS.Mrs. Melvin was born Oct. 24, 1919 in Little Rock, AK. She was a lifelong member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lauton E. and Bessie Nelson Marshall and her husband Morris Knight Melvin. She is survived by two daughters JoAnn Melvin Corban (Don) of Collins, MS and Barbara Melvin Knieriem (George) of Franklin, TN, six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Graceworks Ministries, 104 SE Parkway, Franklin, TN 37064 or Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 1420 Wilson Pike, Brentwood, TN 37027.
