Mrs. Maria Delores Lorenzo's Obituary
Maria Delores Lorenzo, age 60 of Lebanon, passed away at her home on December 23, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Peru on February 22, 1955 to Francisco and Maria Alva. Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She will be remembered by her big warm smile, joyous laughter and elegant demeanor throughout her life. She was married to her husband Ralph Lorenzo for 26 years and together they worked hard to build a loving home and many memories along the way. She was an avid gardener and loved to travel. Most recently, she visited Israel, Peru, and the Grand Canyon. Her greatest joys in life were spreading the word of God and leading new believers to Christ and of course spending time with her two precious granddaughters and family.
Maria was preceded in death by her father, Francisco Alva. She is survived by her mother, Maria Alva; her husband of 26 years, Ralph Lorenzo; daughters, Angie Grooms (Jonathan) and Esther Lorenzo; brothers, Luis Alva (Alba), Enrique Alva (Sorelyz) and Cesar Alva; grandchildren, Gabriella Grooms and Annabelle Grooms; as well many extended family members and friends.
Maria’s family will receive visitors on Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 12:00pm until 2:00. Pastor Carlos Pinto will lead a Funeral Service to honor Maria immediately following Saturday’s visitation, at 2:00pm. Interment will take place in the Garden of Prophets at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Maria's honor to the Lebanon Hispanic 7th Day Adventist Church 1450 Sparta Pike, Lebanon, Tennessee, 37090
