Mrs. Marianne Oliphant Williams' Obituary
Williams, Marianne Oliphant - passed away peacefully June 13, 2022. She was born August 31, 1930 in Nashville to Willard and Edna Oliphant. She's preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Thomas A. Williams, and by her son, Buddy Williams. Marianne is survived by daughters, Carole Burton, Joy Johnson, Laura Durham, and Brandi Daniels; sister and brother-in-law Jane and Nelson Early; and daughter-in-law Ann Williams. She also enjoyed many grandchildren,
great- and great-great- grandchildren and two nieces.
Marianne was a graduate of East High School, class of 1947 She was currently a member of Dalewood Baptist Church and previously a longtime member of Lockeland Baptist Church. She was an active member of the Madison Red Hat Pearls and loved trips and outings with the group. She was also active at the Madison FiftyForward Senior Center. Marianne was a talented seamstress and quiltmaker, and enjoyed needlework and crochet.
We will celebrate Marianne Williams' long, full life on Monday June 20 at 10.a.m. in the chapel at Spring Hill
Funeral home with Rev. Chad Phelan officiating. Family members will greet friends 30 minutes before the service. Pallbearers are grandsons and grandsons-in-law: Jeff Couch, Michael Kelly, Neal Taylor, Brent Johnson, Nick Ray, and Jeremy Hulan. Honorary pallbearers are Alyssa, Caleb, and Cameron Daniels.
