Ms. Marjorie Ann Davis' Obituary
Marjorie Ann Davis, age 85 of Madison, passed away on December 16, 2015. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 6, 1930 to the late Ur Gale and Louise Coolman. Marjorie was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.
Her family recalls that Marjorie was very organized. Just one look through the family photo albums proves her level of organization. Everything labeled and in its place. She was feisty and headstrong…but also kind and generous. She made socks for the homeless and prepared and served meals as well. Marjorie had a good heart and wasn’t afraid to show it.
Marjorie was quite a world traveler. There are many pictures of her in China, Australia, and other faraway ports of call. Faith was also important to Marjorie, and she was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Leo James Davis, her two brothers and her two sisters. She is survived by her children, Gayle Jones, William Howard Davis (Barbara) and Joseph Edward “Jed” Davis (Leigh); grandchildren, Lee Stafford, Anna Lok (Adrian), Mary-Jo Binkley, Emma Kate Davis, and Tyler Jordan Davis; as well as six great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service to honor Marjorie will take place on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11:00am at Holy Name Catholic Church in East Nashville.
