Marjorie Elaine Kendrick, age 86, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020. She was born on March 4, 1934 to the late Henry Grantham, Sr. and Mary L. Alred.
She was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Madison. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and camping. Her family remembers her cooking ability and said that she was such a good cook. She cherished the life that she was blessed with and had faith in God.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin C. Kendrick; son, James Michael Slater; siblings, Edward Leo Grantham, Mary Elizabeth Emerson, Julia Marie Ausbrook, Henry B. Grantham, Jr., and Harold Grantham.
She is survived by her children; Steven A. Kendrick and wife, Janey E. Kendrick, Donald W. Kendrick, Brenda Lee Smith and Dale E. Smith, Karen E. Madden and husband, David Madden; grandchildren, Jason, Kristin, Joseph, Leah, Ashli, Amilia, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Natalli, Brady, Lowden, Ledgyn, Story, Rowdey, Rhyott, Cadence, Carson, Cameron, Tony, Audrey, Alexis, Alissa, Kloei, and Jayln. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 6-8 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. An additional visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 12 - 1 pm with the celebration of life service beginning at 1 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
