Mr. Mark Clayton Fudge's Obituary
Mark Clayton Fudge, 62, of Nashville passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018, after a hard fought battle with heart and lung disease. He was born in Nashville, TN on February 3, 1956, son of Zelma C. and the late William Stewart Fudge. As a child, Mark was active in the Cub Scouts. He graduated from East High School. As a co-op, he worked for the first Winn-Dixie Grocery in Nashville, becoming Asst. Store Manager. After retiring, he worked at O.R.C delivering oxygen to patients. His next job was with Tiffany Stain Glass Company working as a licensed hand beveller; cleaning, repairing and installing them back into their places such as the old Union Station Train Depot. This was exciting work and very rewarding. Mark's last position was with KLM, working as a purchasing agent (mechanical contractors). During his time there, he was involved in a work-related accident. His injuries led him to be disabled, never free from pain. When able, he was an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman, loved all animals wild or tame. He loved history, especially the Civil War; visiting the old battlefields, hunting American Indian artifacts on their hunting and camping grounds. He loved flowers, enjoyed gardening and beautifying the yard. Mark is survived by his mother, Zelma Clayton Fudge; brother, David Stuart Fudge (Sheila) Falls Church, VA; foster son, Cody Miller, McCoal, MS; and dear aunts Mildred Mullins and Dorothy Fudge of Nashville. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 7th at 12pm at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
