Mark Anthony Vargas' Obituary
Mark Anthony Vargas, 26, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023. Born July 2, 1996, in Riverside, California, he was the son of Benjamin Vargas Almejo and Rosemary Campos.
Mark loved cars. He often told folks that being a mechanic was his forte, that it ran in his blood. He was a loving son, brother, companion and father who will be remembered for always being a sharp dresser, having clean shoes, and for being a carefree person who loved his oldies but goodies music. Mark always provided for his family and constantly worked to be better partner and father while making his parents proud. He was authentic, true to himself and constantly motivated his family and friends. Mark was a loving, playful, masculine, sarcastic young man. His smile would lighten up any room he entered. He was his mother’s best friend.
He is survived by his best friend and mother of his child, Valerie Guerra; their son Mark Alessandro Vargas Guerra; mother Rosemary (Jose) Campos; father Benjamin (Lorena Villa) Vargas; sisters Stacey Vargas, Jocelynn Campos, Rosemary Campos, Maria Villa, Francisca Vargas, and Elizabeth Vargas; brothers Ceasar Campos, Christian Campos and Benjamin Vargas, Jr.; his dog, Taz; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 7, at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville from 2 pm until 5 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 5 pm with a Rosary Service following at 6 pm.
Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216. “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
