Ms. Martha Coursey's Obituary
Martha Marie (Couch) Coursey, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in Gallatin, Tennessee. Marie was born on March 21, 1924 in Savannah, Tennessee at home to Carlos Garfield and Rhoda Ann (Bundrant) Couch.
Marie worked as a Rosie Riveter for Vultee Aircraft. She loved being outdoors and gardening. She had a talent of being a great seamstress and was an excellent cook. She had a strong love for the Lord and her family. She cherished greatly the life that she had been blessed with.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of twenty-six years, Emmett Clay Coursey; siblings, J.D. Couch, Glenn Couch, Lawrence Couch, Thomas Couch, Lola Couch Hightower and Sarah Couch Finn.
Marie is survived by son, Michael Emmett Coursey; two daughters, Bettina Sherrie Melhus and Linda Gail Otool; grandchildren, Katherine Elizabeth, Joseph, Danny, William, Johnathon, Brandon Allen, Jeffrey Michael; great-grandchildren, Emerson Parker Hickey, Madyson, Clair and Olyvia. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 4-8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home with an additional visitation held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 12pm until the time of service beginning at 1 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
