Ms. Martha Frances Gray's Obituary
Ms. Martha Frances Gray, age 98 of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020. She was born on July 18, 1922 in Hartsville, Tennessee to the late Ernest and Della Gammon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband William Lovell Bohannon, Sr., her second husband William Thomas Gray, daughter Frieda Ruth Gray, son William Thomas “Tommy” Gray, sister Bessie Cartwright, brothers Herman Gammon and Paul Gammon, and daughter-in-law Brenda Bohannon. She is survived by her children William “Bill” Lovell Bohannon, Jr., Donald “Don” Gray (Cindy), and Connie Paulson (Thomas), grandchildren Dwayne Trey Bohannon (Joyce), Gregg Bradley Bohannon (Sonja), Kimberly Guiterrez (Louis), Donald Gray, Jr., Nathan Daniel Paulson (Nicole), William Troy Dixon, Jill Renea Cox (Terry), nieces Delores Harris, Anita Cartwright, Evalyn Morris, and many more nieces and nephews. She had a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was loved by many extended family members, friends and caregivers at Park Place and NHC Sumner.
Martha was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She had a diverse collection of interests over the years including painting, traveling, camping, golfing, antiquing, and gardening. She owned her own business for a time and an antique shop, both in Goodlettsville. She was a member of the “Keenagers” Sunday School Class at Goodlettsville First Baptist Church for many years.
A Graveside service will be held for Ms. Gray in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 10am, with the family receiving friends at the Spring Hill Funeral Home from 9-10am. Donations in Martha’s memory may be made to Saint Jude’s or Shriners Children’s Hospitals.
