Martha E. Hayes' Obituary
Martha E. Hayes, age 88, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017. Martha was born on January 7, 1929 to Robert and Nellie Womack in Nashville, Tennessee.
Martha enjoyed gardening, and was an accomplished quilter and seamstress. Martha was a long time Madison resident in addition she was a founding member of Hillview Baptist Church and long standing member of Dickerson Road Baptist Church.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Frank Robertson Hayes, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah (Randy) Heavener, sons Darrell W. (Sharon) Hayes and Dan L. Hayes, 5 grandchildren; Stacey (Alan) Coons, Shane (Denise) Heavener, Scott (Melissa) Heavener, Joshua (Melissa)Hayes, and Eric (Stephanie) Hayes and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition she is survived by her sisters Betty Clark, and Barbara (Bruce) Costain.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 4pm-8pm, and again from 11:30AM -1:30PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Services will be held at 1:30pm in the Chapel at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
