Martha Ann Powers, 85, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021. She was born in Milltown, TN on June 7, 1935 the daughter of William and Tinnie (Deering) Weston both of whom preceded her in death.
Martha was a faithful wife, loving mother and an amazing friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and did everything in her power to never miss a game, graduation or other important event. Martha was also an excellent cook and was known in her family for her delicious banana pudding and turkey and dressing which could never be recreated. She enjoyed playing bingo at the nursing home and was known as the bingo queen by her friends.
Martha is survived by her children Mary Ruch (Richard), Wanda Powers, Beverly Biles (James), Tommy Powers Jr.; brothers Richard Weston (Doris), James Weston (Dorothy); grandchildren Angela, Amy and Lorie. She is also survived by three great grandchildren Autumn, Kennedy and Hayes.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Tommy Powers Sr.; daughter Kathy Warren, grandson Paul Warren, sister Ruth Coursey, and brother R.V. Weston.
Martha’s visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 12 PM-2 PM at the Spring Hill Funeral Home at 5110 Gallatin Pike South, Nashville, TN 37216 with the funeral ceremony immediately following at 2pm conducted by Pastor David Harbison. Burial will follow in the historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
