I was a teacher at Dalewood with your mom for several years. I taught one day and delivered a surprise set of twins early that next morning. From that day on,She loved me like I was one of her own and shared recipes with me often. I lived in Donelson and would often pick up pies for her at Beckers Bakery for her bridge club or other parties. I still have sample stainless forks she would receive from magazines that she shared to use as picnic forks when she and your dad went traveling with their group of buddies. She would call me once or twice a year and update me on her family and ask about mine. She was very proud of each of you and her grandchildren. I lost track of her in the last two years and was so sad to hear of her death when I returned to town recently. We have lost a great southern lady!
