Marvin Edward Carter's Obituary
CARTER, Marvin Edward Sr., of Madison passed away on December 10, 2009; he was 74. Mr. Carter was a member of the Madison Lodge #762 F&AM. He was retired from Ford Glass Plant. A member of the Ford UAW and served as Captain of the Ford UAW Rescue Squad. He served in the Air National Guard during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Mr. Carter is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Ann Carter; daughters, Sheryl (Wayne) Gentry, Sylvia (Jackie) Broadrick, Alisa Cardin; son, Marvin Edward (Nicki) Carter Jr. Grandchildren, Jonah (Tara) Gentry, Joshua (Brittany) Gentery, Jason Broadrick, Jordan Broadrick, Nicholas (Blake) Kincaid, Caitlin Cardin, Kelsie Carter, Austin Carter and Kamaron Carter; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Emma, Ava, Chad and Madeline. The family will receive friends on Friday (today) from 12 to 8PM and also on Saturday morning from 10:30 to service time at 12:30 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home 5110 Gallatin Rd. with Chaplin Bill Shouse officiating. Masonic service will be conducted on Friday evening at 7PM at the funeral home. Honorary Pallbearers: Retirees of Ford Glass Plant, Ford UAW Rescue Squad and the Hardee Boys. Active Pallbearers: Grandsons and Jeff Hand, James Robinson, Johnny Hooper and Timmy Hester. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.
