Ms. Marvine Gray Jennette's Obituary
Marvine Gray Jennette, age 81 of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Esther Barnes, and her husband William Ellis Jennette. She is survived by her sons Andy Jennette (Mary) and Russell Jennette (Josie), her grandchildren Jaquisha Jawan and Nelson Mendez Jr., and her great-grandchildren Jason and Jaylen Sloan.
Marvine could be best described as simply an angel. She had such a kind and generous spirit. She loved people, and never met a stranger. She was an amazing mother, as she filled the role of both mom and dad while she was raising her boys. Her boys were her pride and joy, and of all the folks who knew and loved Marvine, they will miss her the most. Marvine also loved the outdoors, and she enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors. Her true outdoor passion however, was fishing. You could almost always find Marvine out on the water, whether she was out on the boat crappie fishing, or on the banks searching for baits.
A visitation will be held for Ms. Jennette on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 9am – 12:30pm with a graveside service to follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery at 12:45pm. Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery has been entrusted with the final care of Ms. Jennette. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216. (615) 865-1101. “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
