Mary Ann Walker's Obituary
WALKER, Mary Ann of Nashville 79 years of loving and giving to friends, family, strangers, and animals. Passed away Saturday, April 23rd. Preceded by parents, Bernice Orr Walker and Ruby Agnes Trout Walker, brother-in-law, George L. Higgins; nephew, Gary Wayne Walker. Survived by sister, Ruby Elizabeth Higgins; brother, John Edd Walker (Mary); sister, Joy Elaine Thompson (Don); several nieces and nephews, many friends, and loving caregiver, Genie C. May. Attended public schools in Marshall County, Cumberland College, and graduated from Belmont University. She had a 36 year career at the Baptist Sunday School Board. A Memorial Service will be held 3PM, Wednesday, April 27th at the House of Blessing Church, 900 Gallatin Rd. with visitation three hours prior. Frank Gill and Meredith Thom to officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nashville Humane Association, 213 Oceola Ave. 37209, or Alive Hospice, 1700 Patterson St. 37203.
