Mary Laura Baltz's Obituary
Mary Laura Baltz, 85, of Nashville, Tennesee passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024. She was born on the family farm in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 26, 1938, to her loving parents, William and Eleanor Baltz, Sr.
Those who have passed on before are her parents, William Baltz, Sr. And Eleanor Mocker Baltz.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are sister, Cecilia Baltz Halpin, half-brothers, William (Liana) Baltz, Jr. and David Baltz, a multitude of nieces and nephews, grand nephews.
Mary Laura was a quiet lady who deeply enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and spending time with her close family.
She attended St. Catharine College in Springfield, Kentucky, where she received a liberal arts degree. She served as a teacher in the Dominican Order. Eventually, she attained a master's degree in English and Latin from the University of Notre Dame where she was one of the first female graduates. She had a special love of teaching and retired from Pleasure Ridge Park High School in Louisville, Kentucky.
