Ms Mary Gwindolyne Richmond Beasley's Obituary
Mary Gwindolyne Richmond Beasley, age 86, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 in Nashville. She was born on September 25, 1932 in Pleasant Shade, TN to the late G.O. Richmond and Mary Betri Wilburn.
Gwindolyne trusted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at age 13 during revival services at Maces Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was a longtime member of McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville. Gwindolyne retired from Ambrose Printing Company after more than 35 years of service. She has a wide circle of friends at Goodlettsville Senior Spirits, where she enjoyed playing canasta and sharing her homemade chocolate pie on Tuesdays.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings Gilbert Richmond, Goldie Roberts, Gertrude Richmond, Gustine Smith and Glenice Richmond.
She is survived by her devoted daughter Jackie (Jimmy) Cunningham; brother Garvis (Ramona) Richmond; sister Grailon Gregory; and a large host of beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her niece and devoted caregiver Christine Stringer. They would also like to extend a special thank you to the 3rd floor medical staff at Sarah Cannon Cancer Center at Centennial Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 8, from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 9, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Johnny Carver and Pastor Kenneth Massey officiating. Pallbearers will be Jim Cunningham, Rick Woodward, Kevin Woodward, Steve Sumners, Dub Hoover, and Mark Reed. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
Memorial contributions may be made in Gwindolyne's name to McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund 431 W. Old Hickory Blvd, Madison, TN 37115.
