Ms. Mary Frances Black's Obituary
Mary Frances Black, age 94, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Annie Black; three brothers, Charles D. Black Jr., Franklin D. Black Sr., Leslie O. Black. She is survived by six nephews, Charles L. Black, Franklin D. Black Jr. (Rose), Dewey E. Black Sr, Ronald J. Black (Sandy), Terry Lee Black, Leslie O. Black Jr. (Cecilia). Four nieces, Margaret Nicks (Allan), Lynda Black, Carolyn Barnes, Beverley A. Shafer (Don). Mary Frances was a graduate of Central High School, Nashville, Tennessee. She was a member of Connell United Methodist Church. Mary Frances enjoyed sewing, writing poems and reading in her spare time. She will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her. Visitation for Mary will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 4 PM until 8 PM and again on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 10 AM until 11 AM at which time a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted from the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216. Inurnment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements by Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, a Nashville landmark since 1785 “Where Nashville Comes to Remember”
