Mrs. Mary Evelyn Watts Blackburn's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Evelyn Watts Blackburn, age 80 of Nashville, Tennessee went home to join the Lord on September 24, 2013. Mrs. Blackburn was born March 6, 1933 in Nashville, TN to James “Arlie” and Anna Milbrey Watts. She was a retired CNT from Memorial Hospital and an active member of Inglewood Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ellie Watts Woodall. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Zane Grey Blackburn; siblings, Martha (Leo) Buttrey and James “Buzz” (Liz) Watts; children, Phillip (Sharon) Blackburn, Kenneth (Tenae) Blackburn, and Donna (Keith) Freemon; grandchildren, Jill Blackburn, Josh Noel, Jason (Jessica) Blackburn, Autumn Blackburn, Noah and Jonah Anderson; and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Mrs. Blackburn’s life will be conducted at 2PM, Friday, September 27, 2013 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery with Josh Noel, Jason Blackburn, Cody Woodall, Collin Hewitt, Austin Woodall, Noah Anderson, Jonah Anderson, Alex Brown and Dillon Summers serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4PM to 8PM on Thursday, September 26 and from 12PM to 1:45PM, Friday at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
