Ms. Mary Agnes Burton's Obituary
Ms. Mary Agnes Shea Burton, age 94 of Hermitage, Tennessee passed away on Thursday July 28, 2022. She was born on October 12, 1927 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late James and Margaret Shea. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Burton, and brothers Jimmy, John, and Joe Shea. She is survived by her nieces Beth Heathcock (Paul) and Pam Shelton (Steve), nephew Jamie Shea (Brandie), two great-nieces, three great-nephews, and one great-great-niece, as well as sister-in-law Nancy Shea. The family would also like to recognize and extend a special thank you to Christy Hinsley - Mary’s caretaker, Alive Hospice Nurse, and friend for the last three years.
Mary was a kind, gracious, and nurturing person. She was always a happy person and was the sweetest lady you could ever meet. She was always smiling and laughing, never complained, and she was loved by all who met her. Mary loved children and the children in her neighborhood always knew if they stopped by, Ms. Mary would have a treat waiting for them. She also loved growing flowers, and she adored cats.

A visitation will be held on Thursday August 4, 2022 from 12pm-2pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home, with a brief service to follow. Burial will be private at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
