Mrs. Mary Haynes Herrington's Obituary
Mary Haynes Herrington, age 88, of Nashville, passed away on August 26, 2014. Mary was born on March 9, 1926 to the late Robert Taylor Haynes and Cora Bell Dixson. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered as a stylish woman who enjoyed life. She was married to her late husband, James Lamar Herrington, for 65 years, and the two enjoyed life to the fullest. They were avid square dancers and enjoyed traveling and camping. Like her husband, Mary was a lifelong member of Inglewood Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by three brothers. She is survived by her sons, Ron (Lisa) Herrington and Barry (Liz) Herrington; daughter, Cheryl (Jimmy) Rothwell; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends on Monday, September 1, 2014, from 4pm to 8pm, and Tuesday, from 10am to 12pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service to honor Mary will take place on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 12pm. Interment will follow in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Pegram, Tennessee.
