Mrs. Mary Ruth Howell's Obituary
Mary Ruth Howell, 86, passed away on March 7, 2017 in Hendersonville, TN.
Mary Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ruth Troupe and her sister, Bettye Fleming. She is survived by brother, Bill Troupe and sisters, Sue Warren and Nancy Thompson; by her husband, James Howell; her children, Lynn King (Sid), Steve Howell (Lynn), and Leigh Dyer (John); grandchildren, Matt King, Tim King, Andy King, Allison Bizwell, Ben Howell, James Howell, Mary Gwen Howell, and Jordan Dyer; and great-grandchildren, Mary Payton King, Lowell King, Alfie King, Abner King, and Wyatt Bizwell.

Mary spent her entire adult life caring for those around her. She was caring, charitable, and kind. Mary adored her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved to travel, cook, and read historical novels. Mary was a Pink Lady at Nashville Memorial Hospital as well as being involved in numerous committees. She was a devoted member to Inglewood Methodist Church prior to First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, TN. Mary touched the lives of many and will truly be missed.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 4pm-8pm and again on Saturday, one hour before the service. Celebration of life service will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11am.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Hearth in Hendersonville and Highpoint hospice for the love and care they provided during her illness.
