Ms. Mary R. Isbell's Obituary
Mary Ruth Isbell, age 107, of Franklin, TN passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at her home. She was born August 2, 1907 in Whitesburg, KY to the late James and Alyce Bell Winfrey.
Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Alyce Norfleet Mitchell; son, Lanier Isbell; brother, Earnest Winfrey; and sisters, Bess Williams, Linnie Cochran, Nettie Riggins, and Ruby White.
Mrs. Isbell operated the stationary store at Ambrose Printing Company of Nashville for 30 years before her retirement. She was a member of Vultee Church of Christ and is remembered by her family and all who knew her as a loving woman who was always upbeat and laughing.
Mrs. Isbell is survived by her grandchildren, Wayne Norfleet (Lydia) and Tony Norfleet (Kris); great-grandchildren, Matt Norfleet (Courtney), Megan Norfleet, Amber Norfleet and David Simeone; great great-grandchildren, Raylan Norfleet and Knox Norfleet.
A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2015 in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until funeral time. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
