Mrs. Mary Louise Keith passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 16 at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville after a brief illness. Most of her immediate family had been at her bedside for the several days before. She was a native of Shelbyville, Tennessee, where she was born August 11, 1929 to Maggie Dean (Harris) Sanders and Samuel Luther Sanders – one of twelve Sanders children (three are still living). She is survived by her five children – Janice Whiteaker, Shirley Bly, Theresa Renegar, and Glynn Higgins, all of Nashville, and by Deborah Sudberry of Unionville, Tennessee. Those children blessed her with many grand-children and great grand-children. She was blessed with a great sense of humor and joyous love of life. She was a gift from God and will live forever in our hearts. She married and raised her children in Shelbyville, Tennessee with the late Calvin F. Higgins (of Wartrace, Tennessee). She was later married to the late Melvin L. D. Keith of Nashville for 28 years - then residing in Nashville.
