Mary Ann Masters' Obituary
Mary Ann Masters, age 88, of Nashville, passed from this life on November 5, 2022. She was born
October 24, 1934 in Sumner County, TN to the late Julius Carmack Simpson and Mary Frances Wallace
Simpson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Donnie H.
Masters and her sister, Janice Carr.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Mark) Crump of Bowling Green, KY; sister Sue Morrison of
Nashville; brother-in-law Charlie Carr of Bethpage, TN and countless friends and extended family.
She was a 1952 graduate of Gallatin High School and Fall's Business College. Mary Ann retired from the
State of Tennessee.
Mary Ann was a compassionate person with a huge heart. She was the epitome of selflessness and
kindness. She was always ready and willing to help others without being asked. She had a genuine love
for her church and family. Mary Ann was a member of Brush Hill Cumberland Church for over 60 years
and enjoyed participation in the Sunshine Class and the CPW.
She was a devoted friend to many people. Once you became her friend, you were a friend for life. Her
outgoing personality approached life head on. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, traveling and living
life to the fullest.
The family will receive guests for visitation on Thursday, November 10th, 2022 from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Friday, November 11th, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216. A funeral service will take place on Friday, November 11th, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home, with burial on Saturday, November 12th, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Green Grove Cemetery in Hartsville, Tennessee.
