Mary McIntyre Bradley's Obituary
Mary McIntyre Bradley, age 60 of Nolensville, passed away January 23, 2012. Mary was born August 9, 1951 in Nashville, TN to Clarence and Mildred Moore McIntyre. A very loving mother, grandmother and friend to all, Mary practiced what her parents taught: love, give, and give a little more to those in need. No matter the circumstance nor the person, she could be found solid and unwavering, and exemplifying unconditional love. Whether helping with events at church or celebrations of any kind, she was there first: decorating, cooking, and using her creativity to bring smiles to so many. Her Christian values and giving nature led her to volunteer wherever there was a need, whether guiding young couples in pre-marital counseling at the Crieve Hall Church of Christ or being the rock for her family and friends, or feeding stray animals. She worked for 18 years at David Lipscomb High School where she served as a secretary in the admissions department, but more importantly she was the essence of a homemaker and in the eyes of so many, a saint. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband of 41 years, Allen Bradley; daughters, Kelly (Eric) Clark and Mary Beth McSweeney; son, Chuck (Angela) Bradley; sister, Jane (Bert) Woodroof; grandchildren, Ian and Ethan Clark and Benjamin Bradley; nieces and nephews, Bryant (Shannon) Woodroof and Mary Margrette (Ryan) Parsille. A celebration of Mary’s life will be conducted 11 AM, Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at the Crieve Hall Church of Christ with Ed Slayton and Bill Watkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery with the Elders of Crieve Hall Church of Christ serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5 – 9 PM, Friday, Jan. 27 and from 10 – 10:45 AM, Saturday, prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions should be made to the Nashville Humane Society at 213 Oceola Avenue, Nashville, TN 37209 or to the American Heart Association at American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway, Marietta, GA 30067. Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery.
