Mrs. Mary Ann McKnight's Obituary
Mary Ann McKnight, 66, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Born August 23, 1956, in Nashville, she was the daughter of Virginia Elizabeth Ray Thompson and the late James Murray Thompson, Sr.
Mary Ann was a retired school bus driver in Nashville. She loved being a ‘Mimi’ and considered it the greatest gift in life. She was an avid reader, loved to crochet and spend time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her companion, soul mate, and husband of 42 years Robert Wade McKnight; sister Sue Thompson; brother Rocky Thompson; daughter-in-law April McKnight.
She is survived by her mother Virginia Thompson; daughters Jennifer, Ava, Mariah, and Ariel; son Timothy; sister Deborah (Daniel) Turner; brother James “Tank” Thompson, Jr.; grandchildren Savannah, Cheyenne, and Timothy “T.J.”; great granddaughter Skye.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 22, at 2 pm at East Nashville General Baptist Church at 2100 Scott Avenue.
