Mrs. Mary Mills' Obituary
Mary Ella (Steele) Mills, age 86, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee. Mary was born on October 2, 1932 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late Otis Edward and Katie Mae (Acree) Steele.
Mary was an avid homemaker, always making sure that her family was taken care of. She enjoyed sewing, upholstering furniture and reading in her spare time. Mary loved to travel and took several trips to Europe. Mary had a love for animals as well. She was a long-time member of the Natchez Trace Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School and volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of over sixty years, Jack Mills.
Mary is survived by daughters, Laura Sellers (Dennis) and Jackie Womack (Jonathan); sister, Norma Steele Compton; grandchildren, Stephanie Hudson, Michael Martin (Laura), Matthew Sellers (Jennifer), Katie Sellers, Tiffany Womack, Brittany Nash (Dalton), John Womack and Lexi McQuinley; seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends to cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 4 until 8 pm with an additional visitation on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 10 am until 12 noon at Spring Hill Funeral Home. The service and entombment will be private.
