Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Parker's Obituary
Beginning her life in 1929, Mrs. Parker lived a long and full life of 89 years. She was able to see the world go through its many changes and was privileged the opportunity to experience many “firsts”. It was an honor to hear the memories she could share and to learn the traditions she had to hand down. Mrs. Parker touched many lives whether it be of family or friend, and she will be missed by many for decades to come.
Mary Parker is joining in heaven, her husband Herman Parker, son Edward Cox, step-daughter Bonnie Tydings, Grandson Joe Edward Cox, brothers Doyle & Gwyn Petty, sisters Ethel Archie & Earline Lankford, mother Verdie Tyree & father Zollie Petty. She enjoyed her life with the love from surviving relatives: brother Odell Petty; sister Eleanor Myers; daughter-in-law Doris Cox; grandchildren Shelia (James) Dodrill, Emily (Mike) Hughes, & Amanda (Vince) Lanham; great-grandchildren Felicia Cox, Mistie Hughes, & Brandi, Joey, & Peyton Lanham; 4 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, & great nieces and nephews.
