Mrs. Mary Ann Spain's Obituary
Mary Ann Spain, age 62 of Hendersonville, TN passed away with her loving family by her side on February 28, 2013. Born on May 31, 1950 in Nashville, Mary Ann was raised by her Aunt Bebe Spain, as well as her devoted parents, W.E. and Mary Lou Williams. She earned a B.S., two Master degrees and a Doctorate. She was honored to serve in the U.S. Army; most of her tour was in Korea. Mary Ann was an animal enthusiast who especially loved her cats. She was a distinguished realtor, receiving numerous honors and awards. She was also a beloved level-two counselor at the Charles B. Bass Correctional Complex, inspiring counselors and those who were counseled. Mary Ann found happiness by helping others. Through her great joy and vast knowledge of history, she was able to enrich the real estate industry as well as the people around her. She is survived by her mother, Mary Lou Williams; father and step-mother, James Ivan and Elizabeth Spain; brothers and sisters-in-law, Crocker (Linda) Williams and Chris (Joyce) Williams; four beautiful nieces, April Marie Williams, Mary Jacalyn Williams, Chelsea Williams Meyers and Jade Rhyne Meyers. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her stepfather, W.E. Williams and husband, Cliff Miller. Visitation will be held from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Sunday, March 3, 2013 and a celebration of Mary Ann’s life will be held at 11 A.M., Monday, March 4, 2013 with Pastor and Deputy Warden Charles Nathaniel Simmons officiating. Both events will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home and welcome friends and family. Our beloved Mary Ann will be laid to rest in private services at Nashville National Cemetery.
