Mary Joyce Summers' Obituary
Kindness shaped every day of Mary Joyce Summers. Her gentle compassion reached family, friends, and anyone who crossed her path.
Confident yet humble, Mary showed her generous heart in simple, steady ways. She gladly took care of her family and treasured fishing trips with her children. These moments reflected her caring nature.
Mary felt most at peace outdoors, whether deep-sea fishing or walking a shoreline with loved ones. Travel sparked her creative spirit, and each journey enlarged her sense of gratitude.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband James Summers, her brother Johnny Long and her daughter Sarah Suzanne Summers. Her parents, Johnny Raymon Long and Bessie Tinnin Long, passed before her. Her daughters Amanda (Ron) Summers-Hardin and Caroline Krueger carry forward her steady love. She is also survived by her sister Linda (Phillip) Lowery and her grandson Kaden Cossler. Nieces Jennifer Traughber, Lindy (Tim) Sullivan, Carissa (Brandon) Brown, and nephews Joey Long, John Wright, and Wayne Wright keep her stories alive.
Mary’s kindness remains a quiet guide for all who knew her. In every memory of ocean waves and shared laughter, we feel her steady presence. May we honor her by caring for one another with the same open heart she showed each day.
