Mary Ann Thompson's Obituary
Mary Ann Thompson, a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 23rd, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born on February 11th, 1951, in Nashville to Jesse Byrd, Jr. and Mary Frances Byrd.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Melvin “Buddy” Thompson, son Leonard M. “Fuzzy” Thompson, granddaughter Megan Thompson, and siblings Joyce Halpin and Mike (Sylvia) Byrd. She is survived by her daughters Tammy A. Thompson and Kimberly R. Clinard; sons Johnny Ray Buchanan, Sr. (Sondra) and Nathaniel Byrd; grandchildren Chelsea Thompson, Adam Clinard, and Johnny Ray Buchanan, Jr.; great-grandchildren Makiyah Thompson, Nevaeh Radley, Markco Radley, Jr., Roger Clinard, Jr., Mia Clinard, Lily Clinard, and Jalissa Marie Buchanan; siblings Brenda (Hillbilly) Hill, Penny Martin, and Karen (Johnny) Byrd; several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
The family will receive guests and relatives for visitation on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024, from 10:00 in the morning until the time of the funeral service beginning at 2:00 in the afternoon, with burial to follow, at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee. All are welcome.
