Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Turner's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Turner went to be with the Lord on Saturday February 10, 2018 at the age of 86.
Mary is survived by her son David Turner, her grandchildren Brandi Turner, Kyle Turner, Nicole Turner, great grandson Corban Turner, her sister in laws Hope Turner and Nancy Blankenship, her nieces Cheryl Law (Dana), Robin Sprecker (Kevin), Wanda Delph (Rusty), Kathryn Black (Steve), Lisa Pugh (Glen) and many cousins and beloved friends and family.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, the Reverend R.F. and Eva Blankenship, by her husband Hal Turner, sister Almorene (Andy) Anderson and her brothers David (Hope) Blankenship and Paul (Nancy) Blankenship.
Mary graduated high school in Bradford, TN and went on to work at the Pentagon where she met her husband Hal who was in the navy. They were married in 1950. After leaving D.C., Mary and Hal eventually settled in Madison TN. Hal passed away in 1987.
Mary has been a member of City Road Chapel United Methodist Church for over 50 years where she volunteered with ministry for homeless and volunteered in the church office. Mary retired from the State Of Tennessee Office of Unemployment.
Mary was loved dearly by everyone who knew her and will be missed immensely.
Mary’s celebration of life will be held Wednesday February 14, 2018 at City Road Chapel United Methodist Church at 1 pm, with visitation prior to service from 12:00-1pm
