Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Vinett's Obituary
Beth was loved by all, perhaps because she was so outrageously funny. A storyteller extraordinaire who changed the essence of a room, just by entering it. She smoked with a style and elegance that made you wonder why you ever quit.
Life was not always easy, but she loved ferociously and surrendered everything to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Sorrowful Heart of Mary. Born on April 2, 1935, in North Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, the first daughter of Hector and Hughena MacDonald, sister to Ian, Jimmy, Billy, Danny, Johnny, Michael, Loretta, Neil, Frankie, and Pearson.
She was 18 when she left Caledon, Ontario heading for the bright lights of New York City where she would earn her beautician certificate at Wilford Academy and meet the love of her life, Jerry. With their Catholic faith as the foundation, they built a strong 62-year marriage and lovingly raised seven children . . . one of each.
Every child, grandchild, great-grandchild, hell – everyone she ever knew believed they were her favorite. That’s just the way she loved.
Beth and Jerry leave behind their children Bill (Gail), Kevin (Kathy), Jerry, Jr. (Kate), Deidre, Renee (Mike), Arthur (Kim) and Jimmy (James). Grandchildren Elizabeth (Sirona), Dory, Erin (Carl), Aubrie (Justin), Megan, John Michael (Brooke), Ryan (Erika), Trey, Loren, Sean (Kirby), Reid (Cameron), Dane, Heath, Charlotte, Elliott, Keaton, Sydney and Spencer. Great-grandchildren Harrison, Houston, Adalynne, Hamilton, Mary, Hudson, Patrick, Charlotte, Rory, Gabriel, Sydney, Gracie, Cooper, Rayah and Mary Elizabeth.
Among Beth’s many joys, none surpassed the moment she met her great-granddaughter and namesake, Mary Elizabeth https://Moyers.Beth and Jerry left us with a legacy of love and faith.
