Mrs. Mary Effie Wade's Obituary
Mary Effie Wade, age 80, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, August 08, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Minnie Fann; her husband of 43 years, Frank Wade; one sister, Freida McGee. She is survived by her daughters Teresa Wade, Lori Harris (Tim); one brother Leslie Fann (Shirley); five grandchildren, Wade Harris (Heather), Kevin Harris, Nicholas Walls (Carrie), Grace Harris, Ashley Walls; five great-grandchildren, Kemper Harris, Dean Harris, Gabe Harris, Analisa Whitaker, Piper Whitaker; a host of nieces and nephews and extended family members. Mary loved to quilt, work in her garden, watch Preds and Titans games, bowling in her younger years, spend time at her home in Ft. Pierce, FL and was considered the best Nana in the world. Mary was known for her delicious German chocolate cake and lemon ice box pie. She was also known to always have a bottle of Tobasco hot sauce with her at all times and enjoyed spicy food. Mary was loved by many and will be missed by all those who knew her. Visitation for Mary will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee, 37216. Visitation will be held again on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 10 AM until 11 AM at which time a Celebration of Life Funeral Ceremony will be conducted from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home.
