Mrs. Mary Glynn Riddle Whittle's Obituary
Mary Glynn Riddle Whittle passed away peacefully July 19, 2015. She was devoted to her family, even taking siblings in after they graduated to help them get on their feet. Mary was also passionate about animals; everyone remembers her “cat hotel” in the back of her home, never turning away a hungry or pregnant cat as well as having 12 of her own. She often spoke to her children about her life canning and picking cotton. She was loved by all and enjoyed a special relationship with all of her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed gardening, painting, and was an avid sports fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James W. Whittle and her brother, Jim. She is survived by her children, James G. Whittle, Jenita Smith, and Joel Whittle; 7 grandchildren, and 7 brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home Chapel Thursday July 23, at 2:00 pm with burial to follow.
