Mary E. Woods' Obituary
Mary Edith (Bates) Woods passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Mary was born to Egbert and Lola (Seat) Bates in Nashville, Tennessee on June 14, 1925.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas Francis Woods, Sr.; sons Tom, Jr., and Harry; and grandson Jamie. She is survived by seven children; Carol (Frank), Richard (Vera), Paul (Lorrie), Glen, Mary Lou (Loyd), Milton, and John. In addition, she is survived by an abundance of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; her brother Walter Bates; and sisters Frances Gibson and Ruby Cunningham.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 10am-12pm. Services will be conducted by Bob Wilson beginning at 12pm in the Chapel at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Nashville National Cemetery at 1pm.
