Mrs. Mattie Mai Weaver's Obituary
Mattie Mai Weaver, age 83, passed away on June 18, 2015. She was born on January 1, 1932 in Madison, Tennessee. She was delivered by her grandmother, Mattie Jones. Mattie was preceded in death by her parents, John Bee Wilson Jones and Mary Elizabeth Dunn Jones; her husband of 64 1/2 years, Charles Joseph Weaver, Sr.; and daughter, Joyce Anita Weaver.
Mattie is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Bobby) Jarrett; son, Charles Joseph (Heather) Weaver, II; four grandchildren, Bobby Joe Jarrett, Jr., Israel Jarrett, Austin Weaver, and Brooke Weaver; six great-grandchildren, Chris Daily, Coty Ford, Brandon Jarrett, Morgan Jarrett, Isaac Jarrett, and Coleby Shute; two great-great-granddaughters, Kassidy Daily and Brooklynn Jarrett; sister, Mary Christman; and a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and making quilts for her family.
Mattie's family will receive friends and visitors on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 4pm until 8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Additional visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, from 12pm until 1pm.
Chaplain Mark Russell will lead a Celebration of Life service to honor Mattie on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Crestview garden of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
