Maude Rebecca "Becky" Garrett's Obituary
Becky was born November 1, 1938 and passed away Friday, February 6, 2026 at Centennial Hospital after 4 days in the CCU. Becky lived at 1530 Lewis Rd for the last 35 years. Becky was dearly loved and will be forever missed by family and friends! She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Garrett and her daughter, Vikki Mitchell (husband, Ramiro).
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Cline (husband, Mike), her brother, Bill Adamson, niece Ty, Laney, and Ella Kowitz grandchildren, Todd Cline (wife, Kelly), Kara McCrary, (husband, Rich), Dustin Hollandsworth, and she had 4 great grandchildren. Becky was a retired OR nurse of many years. She was kind and compassionate and so loved by her neighbors and friends! Becky enjoyed gardening in her yard and flower arranging and shopping online! She was quick-witted with her humor. I heard her doctor ask her in the CCU this week how she feels and she could barely talk, but in a whisper, I heard her say “with my hands”! Her doctors always called her their favorite patient. Becky loved the Lord and she shared her testimony of her salvation with me just a few days ago. She was around 8 years old and they lived next door to the church that her uncle pastored. She walked to the church. Her aunt helped her to pray and receive Jesus as her Savior! Becky grew up with cousins that were more like sisters, and she kept up with them until the last days of her life. We are all so thankful for the blessing of knowing such a wonderful lady!
There will not be a funeral service. She will be buried at Spring Hill Cemetery with her beloved husband.
Everyone who loved Becky is invited to meet at Demo’s Steak and Spaghetti on Indian Lake Blvd in Hendersonville, on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 from 2p-4p. Everyone will buy their own meal and anyone can share a story, a memory, etc as we celebrate Becky’s life of love and service to her family, friends, neighbors and the community!
