Accept Tentative Decline Calendar Accept Tentative Decline Calendar SPURLOCK, Maureen T. Pulley, age 92 of Kokomo, IN went to be with the Lord at 6:39 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010, at her residence. Maureen was born March 26, 1918, in Waverly, Tenn., to the late Ira D. and Lola C. Turner (Pegram). Her first marriage was to Robert C. Pulley on Sept. 3, 1943; he preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1983. Her second marriage was to Jesse G. Spurlock on Oct. 1, 1990, in Nashville, Tenn. He preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 2003. Maureen worked for General Motors for 35 years. She was a member of Delco Retiree Club and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Nashville, Tenn. She also loved sewing and quilting. Survivors include one son, Walter Pulley and wife Patricia, Kokomo; a daughter, Rhonda Blount, Kokomo; brother-in-law, Doris Spurlock, Memphis, Tenn.; a sister, Rachel Boone, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Griffiths and Irene Talbert, both of Nashville, TN.; four grandchildren, Ryan and Stephanie Blount, Chad Pulley and wife Gena, and Kylene Pulley, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and a brother, Ira Turner, Jr. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 4 to 7PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Rd, Nashville, TN and where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11AM with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment to follow at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Maureen's memory may be made to the VNS Hospice of Kokomo, 2800 S. Reed Rd, 2nd Floor, Kokomo, IN 46902.
