Max Alan Royka's Obituary
Max Alan Royka, age 12 of Nashville, passed away May 15, 2013. Max was born in Nashville on June 1, 2000 to Jill Staley Royka and Matthew John Royka.
Max grew up in Nashville, attending Gower Elementary, The Tennessee School for the Blind and the Harris Hillman School. He was known for his big, bright smile, his gentle nature and taught those around him what love and forgiveness truly means. He loved all those that gave love to him and was the strongest and bravest boy we’ve ever known.
He is survived by his parents; brother, Luke Alexander Royka; paternal grandparents, Dianne Nobles of Florence, KY and Steve (Meg) Royka of Cape Cod, MA; maternal grandparents, Barbara and Tom Staley of Vandalia, OH; paternal aunts and uncles, Steve and Jackie Royka of Sanibel Island, FL and their children, Steve and Nick Royka; Mark and Beth Royka of Baltimore, MD and their daughter, Catherine Royka; and David Royka of Rochester, NY; maternal aunts and uncles, Sherri Snyder of Dayton, OH and her children, Steve Jamison and Erin, Ellen and Marlie Snyder; Shelley and Todd Grosjean of Archbold, OH and their children, Zac, Jase and Mitch Grosjean; Susan and Steve Garland of Springboro, OH and their children, Lauren, Hannah and Natalie Garland; Delania and John Staley of Sarasota, FL and their children, Shaina Freese, Sabrina and Savannah Staley; and the many, many people whose life was touched by Max.
A celebration of Max’s life will be conducted at 10 A.M. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from the Covenant Presbyterian Church, 33 Burton Hills Blvd., Nashville, TN 37215. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Max Royka account at any US Bank Branch.
