Mr. Melvin Cooper's Obituary
Melvin Adin Cooper, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. Melvin was born on June 11, 1932 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Clarence E. Cooper and Inez Cooper.
Melvin served his country in the United States Marines. He enjoyed photography and framing photos, he even taught people photography and framing. He was heavily involved with 50 Forward and was a member of the Broadmoor Baptist Church. He cherished greatly the life that he had been blessed with.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Marie Cooper; his sister, Cherry and brother, Howard.
Melvin is survived by his son, James Cooper (Margo); daughter, Betty Patterson (Danny); five grandchildren, James Howard Cooper Jr., Christy Sawyers (Mike), Ann Patterson, Lisa Patterson and Danny Patterson; six great-grandchildren, Erin James, Allisa Smiley, James Howard Cooper, III, Amber Patterson, Christopher Curtis and Caleb Curtis; sister-in-law, Patsy Dukes; niece, Betty Hooper. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 4 pm-8 pm. An additional visitation will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 11 am until the time of service, beginning at 1 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
