Mr. Michael Wayne Farley, age 54 of Ashland City, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. He was born on November 9, 1968 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Jessie Earl Jackson and sister-in-law Wilmoth McCrary. He is survived by his loving wife Sherry Jackson Farley, sons Jeremy Browning, Christopher Farley, and Nathan Farley, parents Randell and Marilyn Farley, granddaughter Callie Rae Farley, nephew Isaiah McCrary, nieces Brittany Stewart, Brooke Nerves, and Bridgett McCrary, sister-in-law Mary Stewart, and mother-in-law Ruby Jackson. Mike is also survived by a host of extended family and dear friends.
Mike was a loving and kindhearted person, who never met a stranger. Mike made friends everywhere he went, and was never heard saying a negative word about anyone. He just loved and accepted people as they were. Mike loved hunting and fishing, as well as grilling and mowing the yard. He also enjoyed spending time with Sherry going to auctions, flea markets, and yard sales. Another of their favorite pastimes together was to go down to Cheatham Dam and sit by the water. Mike was a hardworking and determined person. Even after losing his leg, he didn’t let that get him down. As soon as they gave him his prosthesis, he was up and walking around that same day, ready to get out and mow the yard. To know Mike was to love Mike. There are so many people whose lives he made better by being their friend, son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all.
